Lake Townhouse

In 2017 Pernille Lind Studio was given the exciting opportunity to take part in the renovation of one of the most sought-after town houses in Copenhagen. The house is situated off one of the roads by the East city lakes, also called 'kartoffelrækkerne'. The house is spread over 4 floors, where we worked on creating new and optimised floor layouts including designing all bespoke joinery, bathroom design and kitchen design. The overall interior was considered in such a way to compliment and not overpower the original charm of the house. We used natural materials such as timber and marble. Our kitchen design celebrates the warm and inviting character of fumed oak, along with the dramatic surface of the Italian marble, featured on the kitchen island. Most of the bespoke joinery, such as the study library and bathroom cabinets where also created using fumed oak. We designed bespoke marble mosaic floor patterns for all bathrooms, complimenting the look with traditional style sanitary ware. Furniture upholstery and drapery was kept to a dusty palette of olive greens, midnight blue and pale browns, further adding pattern through a selection of Turkish vintage rugs. The overall furniture and styling is a mix of vintage pieces sourced from around Europe and selected iconic Danish designs. Completion 2018
