Apartment by Dom Lo Studios in New York, NY

This Downtown Residence exemplifies the meaning of neutral or 'beige dream' if you will. The project acts as a case study space: it is where the studio fully explores its chosen color palette. The studio likes to think of it's color palette as dying roses or burnt cigarettes: The browns, blacks, and grays come from the burning ash. The whites, tans, and burnt oranges from the paper, and filters. The beiges, taupes, and creams from the withering roses. In the Principal's own words: "My go to flowers are white roses. I love the way they die-the rich white when they're alive, and the deep tan/beiges as they start to fade to a very dark, masculine brown." Throughout the space, each and every tone embodies this color palette and carries a very luxe subtleness in the richness and quality of the fabrics. The Roman Drink Table reflects movement, the Pompeii Mirror using actual burnt ash and the Roman Armchair by Dom Lo Studios reveals textures and patterns through the fraying top fabric that originally inspired the space.
