21st Century, Champagne cover, Solid pure silver, Cherry blossoms, Italy

About the Item

This champagne cover belongs to our collection “K-over Art”. The oeuvre was manufactured by a Japanese artist who wanted to celebrate her homeland. Indeed, she chiselled on a pure silver 999/°° K-OVER a cherry blossom. This masterpiece has been exposed at Four Season (2019, Florence), Cannes Yachting Festival (2019, Cannes) and Origin (2019, Milan). The cover has been completely handcrafted by Mary Yoshida a Japanese master silversmith. The production process took few months and the techniques used are repoussage and chasing. The core value of the product is given by its artistic perfection. Indeed, the artist worked a single piece of silver and the complexity of the task was increased by the fact that the reverse side is missing. It is also important to underline the great attention paid in chiseling the flowers. In addition, the cover is enriched by some mother of pearl settings. Artist information: Mary Yoshida was born in Yokohama, where she graduated at Waseda University. In 2000 she started studying jewelry in Tokyo and then she moved to Florence. There, she continued studying at Perseo School. At the beginning of her career, she worked in the Foglia workshop and in 2012 she opened her own workshop. Technical features: K-OVER is the new brand of P.M.P Firenze, a company with more than 40 years of experience in the silverware industry. Working in this market for such a long period, enabled us to develop a completely new product: a modern glacette. Indeed, our covers can maintain your precious bottles of champagne chilled. The cover can be used as many times as you want: by unscrewing the cap at its bottom, it is possible to change the champagne. All covers are new and have been only exhibited in public events. Covers are suitable for champenoise bottles such as: Moët Et Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, Cristal, Pol Roger, Piper-Heidsieck, Perrier Jouët, Taittinger, Mumm, Ferrari, Berlucchi. All our champagne covers are produced in solid silver 999/°°. The usage of pure material is a novelty, as a matter of fact, silverware is usually produced in sterling silver. Our choice can be explained by three reasons. Firstly, we want to provide a high valuable product to our customers. Secondly, pure silver is hard to oxidise, so that it is easier to be cleaned. Last but not least, silver has an antibacterial property which make it safe.
