Three Stone Ring with Tourmaline and Diamonds Certified
About the Item
This handsome, classic three-stone tourmaline ring has lovely scrollwork on the face and shoulders but its Victorian good looks are vintage rather than antique, as the ring dates to the latter part of the previous century -circa 1980s, 1990s. Originally created for a man, the ring is perfectly unisex. The gorgeous greenish-blue tourmalines are bright and lively. Four tiny full-cut diamonds are set into the face of the ring and flatter the tourmaline gems.
Tourmaline can be a real shapeshifter when it comes to color. Pleochroism is the word for this. It means the color of the tourmaline can appear different depending upon the angle at which you view the stone. Even in my photographs, you can see that in some pictures the stones look more green than blue; in other images, blue predominates. This is one of the reasons tourmaline is such a popular and beloved gemstone: it can do a trick.
Rendered in 14K yellow gold, it bears a metal fineness mark and an unknown maker's mark on the interior of the shank.
This timelessly stylish ring is currently a size 10 ½ and could be resized by your local jeweler. The ring ships with a certificate from Stone Group Labs stating the stones to be elbaite tourmaline.
