About the Item
Unusual Artisan sterling ring attributed to NY Modernist Jeweler Sam Kramer. Although unsigned, this piece bears all the handmade hallmarks of his work.
The surreal "Eye" design is one of his best known, made with vintage taxidermy eyes. A silver "teardrop" falls from the end of the eye which is mounted North-South on the finger as opposed to East-West. Heavy gauge sterling, quality construction with all the iconic biomorphic details on the shoulder and shank of the ring, as well as the large ribbed "brow". Unsigned. 1950's USA.
