Art Deco Platinum Four-Stone Diamond Ring, circa 1935-1938

About the Item

A fantastic original Art Deco platinum four stone diamond ring in platinum. An iconic design with strong geometric form so redolent of the Art Deco period. Manufactured by one of Englands most outstanding jewellery companies Alabaster and Wilson in Birmingham. Their archive confirms that the serial number for this particular ring (33281) shows it was made in the period from 1935-1938.* Presented in a Roman setting with millegrain tips to secure two Old European cut diamonds 0.30ct total with two small 0.03ct French cut stones. French cut diamonds were seen in this era revealing a really interesting cut, like tiny pyramids. Finally there are six eight-cut diamonds on the shoulders of the ring. This super diamond ring would be a dream engagement ring and has such character with the strong Art Deco lines and unusual cut stones all set in platinum.
