Yellow sapphire and diamond ring. Set with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Ceylon sapphire in an open back four split claw setting with an approximate weight of 12.23 carats, flanked by six rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover channel settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.40 carats, to a structured geometric openwork gallery with pierced backholing, the raised shoulders leading through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, English, circa 1950, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5776-3268. UK finger size M.
