5 Carat Emerald Solitaire 18 Karat Halo Ring
About the Item
In a concave Halo design, this Emerald Ring is attributed to the Retro Art Deco period, in a European inspiration. Intricately fabricated, yet secure and durable in a heavily constructed design to ensure durability. Featuring a central 5 carat Oval cut "Mint" Green Emerald, at 12.2mm in length x 8mm in width x 4.8mm in depth. Secured in four oversized squared Diamond encrusted prongs in a scalloped design. Only about 10% of Emeralds mined have this clarity (minimally included, with no indications of striation, a.k.a. inclusions coming up to surface) & size. In addition, approximately 75% of Emeralds were cut in an Emerald cut or Square cut, an Oval cut this size, color & clarity being quite rare.
Accented with a total of 1.32 carats of Diamonds visible at virtually every angle - [Certainly takes an extremely experienced Master Diamond-setter to set Diamonds symmetrically in these curved patterns] ..
Suitable as an Engagement Ring due to the Solitaire stone, or simply an Art Deco statement. Emerald is also the birthstone for those born in the month of May.
Stamped "18K" inside shank.
