Victorian 18 Karat Gold 1.00 Carat Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring
About the Item
A gorgeous sapphire and diamond cluster ring from the late Victorian (ca1880) era! This beautiful 18kt gold ring features a 1.00ct natural ceylon sapphire framed at the center of a sparkling diamond border. The vivid, no-heat sapphire is prong set and weighs approximately 1.00ctw, displaying incredible deep blue hues that catch the light with every turn in its open back setting. Encircling the sapphire are eleven sparkling old Mine Cut diamonds collectively weighing approximately 1.25ctw and display H-I range color and VS-SI range clarity. The prongs that hold each diamond create a gorgeous scalloped wirework design below the centerpiece and a polished rose gold band graduates towards the back. A beautiful Victorian piece, it is perfect to mark a special occasion, or it would make a stunning gemstone engagement ring!
The ring has a finger size 7, but could be easily be re-sized. The centerpiece measures 1/2" tall and wide and the ring rests about 1/4" above the finger when worn. The gold band measures 2mm wide at the back.
