About the Item
Sparkling, Brazilian Step cut Pear shape Rubelite accented with 2 White Sapphires set in rich 14K yellow gold. The Rubelite is transparent but does have the typical rubelite inclusions which add to the sparkle. It is 4.5ct and is approx 14x9mm. The 2 White Sapphires are 0.28ct.

The name of this precious gemstone originated from Toramalli, a Sinhalese word, which means mixed gems. According to some Folk stories, tourmaline received its incredible range of beautiful colors because the stone traveled through rainbows, capturing many beautiful colors on the way. Most commonly found in majestic black color, tourmaline also comes in red, orange, pink, yellow, green, violet, blue, brown, and all hues in between. In addition, it can remarkably be bi-colored and tri-colored, and shifts between two different colors in dichroic form, under certain lighting conditions, or when viewed from different angles.
Here are the meanings of various tourmaline colors. Red color, for instance, evokes strong emotions. Often the shades of red tourmaline are associated with warmth, comfort, and love. Another color, Pink, is believed to cause a calming effect. The color is considered as a token of kindness. The green color, that resembles the natural world, is known for relieving stress. Out of all colors, blue is most popular because the color spikes the feelings of serenity and peacefulness
