Victorian Diamond and Ruby Daisy Cluster Ring, circa 1880s
About the Item
Dating to the 1880s, this Victorian cluster ring is in wonderful condition. It features a centre diamond weighing 0.20 carat haloed by deep red rubies. The rubies have a combined weight of 0.60 carat, and there is then a second halo of sparkling diamonds. The diamonds have a combined weight of 0.60 carat and are scalloped on the edges. All the stones are claw set and natural. The daisy design adds character to the piece and the diamond shoulders add more sparkle. The setting work for the diamonds is made in platinum whilst the gallery and band are in 18 carat yellow gold.
