Late Victorian Diamond Brooch/Pendant in a Fitted Box
About the Item
A late Victorian diamond-set brooch/pendant, set with graduated old European and rose-cut diamonds to an openwork foliate and scroll design, suspending a diamond-set drop, with detachable diamond-set bail, the diamonds estimated to weigh 3 carats, all mounted in silver to yellow gold back, accompanied by gold detachable brooch fitting, circa 1890, measuring 5 x 2.8cm, gross weight 8.5 grams.
This antique pendant/brooch is in excellent condition. Unmarked, tested as silver with 9ct gold back and 14ct gold brooch fitting.
An exquisite and wonderfully sparkling late nineteenth century pendant/brooch. This piece features a gorgeous scrolling floriate design, the silver and yellow gold set throughout with lively and scintillating old-cut and rose-cut diamonds. This feminine and alluring piece comes from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales and would be perfect hung from a simple chain or worn as an eye-catching brooch on an evening gown.
