Dimensions Styled as Necklace : 60 mm drop from top to bottom Dimensions Styled as a Brooch / Pin only 20mm tall x 30mm wide Dimensions Styled as Necklace Timepiece only : 40mm tall x 28mm wide Interchangeable and Can be fashioned in 4 different styles *hallmarked for 18kt Inscribed on cuvette “ For the Queen with British crown monogram” The present piece offered here was made circa 1860-1890 during the height of the art nouveau movement. During this time frame, artists focused on nature for inspiration to incorporate in their designs floral motifs and other whimsical colorful objects of nature such as pansies, lotus and other wildflowers as well as serpents, snakes and dragonflies to name a few. Lapel Pendant watches such as these were worn in several different fashions allowing for its user to have multiple styles from one uniquely designed concept giving its user both necklace function to check time as well as brooch function independent of one another.
