An amethyst, chrysophrase, diamond, turquoise, and textured 18 karat gold quatrefoil pendant, on a textured 18 karat gold chain, by Boucheron, c. 1970. This is one of the iconic jewels of the 1970s with a large amethyst as the central stone, diamonds in the background and textured yellow gold. The exciting influence of India in the post Maharaja period can be readily felt here. Signed Boucheron, Paris. Stamped with maker's mark and French assay. A matching cuff is also available.
Founded in 1858 by Frédéric Boucheron, Maison Boucheron is the oldest jewelry Maison in Place Vendôme, and is celebrated by connoisseurs for their bold and colorful jewels.
