This Etruscan Revival pendant from ca. 1875 in the shape of a cross is truly a piece of art. Jewelers of this period like Giuliano and Castellani were infatuated by the Neo-Renaissance and there work was known for detail and the finest craftsmanship. This pendant worked in 18 karat gold and enamel displays beautiful granular gold-work and engraving throughout the piece. Cobalt-blue, maroon, turquoise, white and black enamel have been worked in to this cross on the ends and center creating a fabulous contrast of colors. A wonderful piece of historic jewelry and true collectible.
