Jill Garber Figural Repousse' Renaissance Cherubim Bolo Tie in Sterling Silver

About the Item

This exquisite, Jill Garber, sterling silver, legacy Bolo represents a child depicted as an angel from five different perspectives. The painting, originally called “A Cherub’s Head in Different Views,” was created in the Grand Style by renowned English painter, Sir Joshua Reynolds, in 1786-7. Recognizing that thoughts of angels are naturally connected with thoughts of children, he expresses their innocence in this idealization of the imperfect. Renaissance-style masterpieces often influenced the early English silversmiths with their beautiful figural jewelry and objet d’art. The essence of Sir Reynolds’ work is realized in Jill’s original casting, measuring 2.25” x 2.00”. With a dramatic, black, woven cord, hand-crafted slide, and signature ornamental aiguillettes, you can immerse your style in a magical cloud of angels with this poetic Bolo. • Hand-cast, sterling silver, figural depiction of Sir Joshua Reynolds’ “A Cherub’s Head in Different Views” • Silver Bolo ornament - 2.25" x 2.00" • Custom-crafted Bolo slide in Sterling Silver • Black, woven leather cord falls 21.5" • Aiguillettes, or Bolo tips, measure 1.375” (length) x 0.375” (diameter) • One-of-a-kind high jewelry, exclusively designed by Jill Garber • Hallmarked • Size adjustments will be provided as requested Jill Garber’s high jewelry collection redefines antiquities and artifacts through a love of cultural differences and a timelessly romantic prism of synergistic beauty. Within her collection are treasures created to inspire you to embrace and express the heart and soul of your own, unique story.
