Antique 18th Century George III Diamond 15 Karat Gold Blue White Enamel Necklace
About the Item
This magnificent and extremely rare Georgian necklace is composed of flower ornaments set with old cut diamonds mounted in silber on gold.
At the centre of the necklace is a large rosette set with 25 old cut diamonds. Twelve diamond set elements designed as flowers with seven diamonds each alternate with twelve concave oval segments which are made of opaque white and translucent dark blue Guilloché enamel and set with one diamond each. The outer white enamel is separated from the blue section by means of fine gold lines. All elements decrease in size from front to back.
One of the two smallest rosettes doubles as a clasp.
The total of 122 diamonds weigh 12,9 ct (established weight).
