Ico & the Bird Fine Jewelry 440cts Rose Quartz Carved Disc 22k Gold Necklace
About the Item
A dreamy necklace made of 240 carats of hand carved Rose Quartz discs. Made as part of Ico & the Bird's 'Ocean Collection,' the necklace is composed of jump rings connecting the discs and completed with a disk set in a wavy bezel with a hook closure. A pale light pink shimmer to wear around the neck.
The necklace takes days to complete in the workshop. One of a kind.
Measuring 16.5" long with 30 discs. Each disc measures 12.97mm diameter and 3.76mm thick.
A great simple layering piece or to wear on it's own. In Greek myth, Aphrodite was caught by a thorn when she rushed to help her wounded lover, Adonis. Blood from both lovers dripped onto a crystal, staining it pink as a lasting symbol of their love.
Wearing rose quartz is thought to attract true love.

Ico & the Bird Fine Jewelry
Ico & the Bird Fine Jewelry was founded by designer Juliana Domenico (’Ico’) Carr and inspired by her world travels, searching for the most beautiful and unique gemstones to incorporate into her designs. Gemstones have always been a passion for the designer. She spent the first five years of her life in Brazil, a country known for some of the worlds’ most striking and rare stones, and her earliest memories were of playing with giant, loose aquamarines in her mother’s jewelry box and arranging them into designs. Working primarily in 22k matte gold and hand-picked gemstones, Juliana works with master craftsmen from around the world employing ancient gold smithing techniques in the creation of singular pieces that will be treasured for generations. Juliana holds an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts from The George Washington University. She also holds a Graduate Gemology (GG) degree from The Gemological Institute of America and Graduate Fine Arts from UCLA.
