Imperial Topaz & Emerald Necklace Early Art Deco Certified
About the Item
This rare and elegant 19" drop necklace was created in the 1920s. Crafted in buttery 18K gold, the pendant showcases a glorious imperial topaz and emerald-cut emerald, both from Brazil. Emeralds were discovered in Brazil in 1913 and this necklace was created shortly thereafter.
The natural pear-shaped precious topaz measures 24mm x 7.82mm and weighs approximately 3.81 carats and is prong-set within its own mounting. The topaz dangles from a bail set with several tiny rose-cut diamonds and one 2mm round natural ruby. This, in turn, hangs from a 6mm x 5mm emerald that weighs approximately .56 carats. A pair of natural saltwater pearls resides on either side of the emerald. These jewels hang from a beautifully crafted and sturdy necklace chain that is itself studded with 8 small (2.5mm) natural pearls. A large spring-ring clasp completes the necklace.
This sumptuous necklace ships with two gemological certificates from Stone Group Labs: one for the topaz, the second for the emerald. Both certificates identity the gems as natural and untreated stones from Brazil.
