Art Deco Diamond and Moonstone Drop Earrings
About the Item
Exquisite moonstone earrings from the late Art Deco (ca1930s) era! These stunning earrings are crafted in platinum and adorned with delicate diamonds and alluring moonstones. With an elongated drop shape, the earrings feature a beautiful bezel set cabochon moonstone at the base of each. The moonstones are very clear and have a translucent, pale blue color which boldly flashes in the light with every turn. Sparkling old Mine Cut diamonds are set within the dramatic platinum links, which are further accentuated by delicate cutouts and fined milgrained detail throughout. The earrings dangle from diamond surmounts attached to simple earring wires, allowing each to swing with lovely movement. Collectively, the overall diamond carat weight of both earrings is approximately 1.10ctw. Both elegant and feminine, they look breathtaking when worn and would be perfect for special occasions!
The earrings hang approximately 2 1/8" long and are approximately 3/8" wide at the base. The moonstones, including their bezel settings, measure approximately 3/8" wide and tall and have a depth of a little less than 1/4".

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or to the moonstones and diamonds, all of which are intact. The earring toppers and wires are secure and intact.
