Gorgeous Hobé clip-on statement earrings, circa 1950s, featuring faux pearl and crystal rhinestone accents and vibrant gold-plating. These chic earrings make an excellent addition to your vintage jewelry collection.
ABOUT HOBÉ:
Hobé was founded by goldsmith Jacques Hobé in France in 1887. It was originally a fine jewelry line, with a costume jewelry division added in the 1920's by his son, William Hobé.
Hobé was hired by Ziegfeld Follies to design jewelry for their costumes and it is rumored that this is where the term "costume jewelry" originated. To this day, Hobé is one of the most coveted brands for vintage costume jewelry, with their beaded necklaces being one of their most sought after designs.
