Sterling "Sigi" Sigredo Pineda Modernist Coil Cufflinks

About the Item

Sigi is short for Sigfredo Pineda, who set up his own workshop in the 1950's and is still producing modernist jewelry. He apprenticed under Castillo, not William Spratling as he was born somewhat later, in 1929. He is the sole surviving member of the Taxco silversmith artist colony started by William Spratling in the 30's and 40's. We love the clean and modern design of these wonderful coiled cufflinks. Bullet-back closures allow them to turn 360 degrees on their hinge and fit through any size sleeve hole, and go on and come off the sleeve with ease.
