About the Item

A fine and impressive 0.28 carat diamond, 14k white gold and palladium set Highland Light Infantry sweetheart brooch; part of our diverse antique estate jewelry collections. This fine and impressive antique pin / brooch has been crafted in 14k white gold with a palladium setting. The brooch has been modelled in the form of a crowned 'HLI' monogram; this monogram pertains to the Highland Light Infantry*. The palladium setting is embellished with a total of thirty-eight pavé set Dutch cut diamonds. The brooch secures with a hinged pin and clasp to the reverse. This antique 1920's sweetheart military brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 14k gold and palladium. The brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card. * The Highland Light Infantry (HLI) was a Light infantry branch of the British Army, formed in 1881 and amalgamated with the Royal Scots Fusiliers in 1959. While active they took part in both the First and Second World Wars, recruiting from Glasgow and the Scottish Lowlands; earning their nickname 'Hell's Last Issue'. Images do not always reflect the true colour and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual colour and showcases each stone. Condition This impressive antique brooch is fine quality set with very high colour graded Dutch cut diamonds displaying fine white colour and brilliance. The brooch is a very good gauge of gold and is in excellent condition.
