About the Item
Made from 18-karat white gold and set with almost 6 carats of sapphires plus white diamonds rated F/G VVS, it is a wonderful take on the original diamond tennis bracelet style.
A tennis bracelet should be worn somewhat loose; it is ideal when you can fit a finger between the band and your wrist. This version is 18 centimetres long and 0.45 cm wide. It weighs 10.5 grams.
The tennis bracelet has a romantic, if not entirely accurate story. A tennis match at the US Open was reportedly paused by the great Chris Evert when her diamond bracelet flew off her wrist. The extravagance of playing in diamonds was such a novelty that the bracelet earned a new name simply by association with the glamorous athlete. Whether the incident happened or not, the delicate line bracelet, a style that has been around since the 1920s, earned the new name “tennis bracelet” during the 1980s as Evert ascended the ranks of players in her chic sporting gear and delicate diamond jewellery. Tennis champions like Serena Williams still wear them today as they are the perfect accessory on and off the court for casual, feminine elegance.

The FANCS V workshop is situated in the heart of Sicily's capital city, Palermo. The jeweller is a three-generation Sicilian family business owned and run by Simona Elia and her husband Natale Vitale. Created by Natale's grandfather, FANCS V has grown from a goldsmith shop into a design studio where Simona, who trained in Milan, contributes signature collections to complement the custom pieces Natale produces for a dedicated client base.
