About the Item

A stunning bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era by Newark, NJ maker Sloan & Company! Crafted in vibrant 14kt yellow gold, this slip-on style bangle features 3 sparkling gemstones across the front surface. A gorgeous 0.80ct ruby is bezel set at the center, exhibiting vivid raspberry red hues with facets that beautifully catch the light. Two old Cushion Cut diamonds rest on either side of the gemstone, which collectively weigh approximately 0.70ctw, sparkling with every turn. The surface of the bracelet is smoothly polished, and stamped along the inside is a "14" gold purity mark beside the Sloan & Co.'s signature hallmark. The bangle's design is very versatile, and would look wonderful worn alone or stacked with other complimentary bracelets. A fabulous Victorian piece by a legendary maker, it would compliment any collection! The inside opening of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures 2 1/2" wide, 2 1/4" tall, and would fit nicely on an average sized wrist. The surface measures approximately 3/8" wide and is 1/8" thick. The bracelet has an overall pennyweight of 10.8dwt (16.6 grams). The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there are no serious damage to the gold setting, however there are a few very minor dents to the surface, including a very minor, flat indentation between one of the diamonds and the ruby, two along the edges and on the back, and one inside. All of the dents or indents are very minor and do not detract from the overall beauty of the piece. All of the stones are intact and securely set.
