This is an excellent example of an early 1900's Edwardian era engagement ring. This ring is one of the most detailed and "intact" pieces I've ever had the privilege of owning. Having been only out of the safety deposit box and worn maybe a handful of times since the turn of the last century, it's truly a marvel of the era! The dazzling Old European cut diamond solitaire is just under a carat and sits proudly on top of the highly detailed ring. Crafted in platinum, the 6 fancy claw shaped prongs flow to an intricate fine filigree openwork design top which transitions to a carved/etched design that wraps all of the way around the shank. At over a century old the ring is in excellent condition and would make an fantastic addition to any vintage jewelry lover's collection!
