About the Item
These tourmalines are an exquisitely delicate shade of pink and are an exceedingly rare example of tourmaline sourced from the highly desirable sources in Maine. These gems are precision faceted in a fabulously domed rose cut.
"Alessia" is reminiscent of fine handmade lace, and the delicately engraved medallions are a perfect frame for beautiful gemstones.

Tourmalines come from all over the world, and one very collectible and desirable source is Maine. Compared to other tourmaline sources throughout the world, the Maine deposits are quite small and very few gem quality stones actually come available.

This piece of jewelry was hand-fabricated and hand-engraved by goldsmiths in Florence, Italy. Florentine Engraving is an Old World jewelry making technique and style that has been synonymous with the city of Florence since the 15th Century.
