French Early 19th Century Architectural Gilded Wood Wall Hanging Fragment Shelf
About the Item
An early 19th century French architectural wood wall hanging fragment with Lucite shelf. This French architectural piece, from the early 19th century, has gilt over gesso and wood, and features hand-carved scroll and floral motif. The fragment has a newer addition of a clear, thick, Lucite shelf. This piece still retains much of its original paint and gilt finish, with lovely age and chipping throughout. This unique French wall-mounted shelf will add a nice architectural element to any wall and will be a lovely display for a small plant or other decorative objects.
