Joseph Golinkin Original Lithograph, 1935, Louis-Baer Boxing Match

About the Item

This is an original lithograph by Chicago/New York artist and illustrator Joseph Webster Golinkin (1896-1977). This print is no. 12 of the edition of 50. The print depicts the Joe Louis vs Max Baer boxing match which took place on September 24, 1935, in Yankee Stadium in which Louis knocked Baer out in the 4th round. It is in good condition, unframed, and presents in a 2-ply museum mat. The image measures 10 5/8" H x 9 3/8" W. The mat measures 20" H x 16" W. A Norton Gallery & School of art label is with the print showing that it was part of a show titled: The American Scene: A Selection from the Dr. Robert B. & Dorothy M. Gronlund Collection of American Prints.
