Original vintage travel poster for Cambridge issued by British Railways featuring great artwork by the notable artist Fred Taylor (1875-1963) depicting Queen Elizabeth's Visit to King's College Chapel in August 1564 with crowds in period Elizabethan clothing gathered in the historic Gothic chapel (consecrated 1443) below the impressive fan vaulted architecture and colorful stained glass windows with flags flying in front of the carved wooden screen in ceremony for this royal visit to greet Queen Elizabeth I (1533-1603; Tudor monarch 1558-1603), the BR logo and text below reading: Train services and fares from British Railways stations, offices and agencies. Published by the Railway Executive Eastern Region. Printed by Waterlow and Sons Limited London and Dunstable. Horizontal. Large size. Good condition, restored staining, backed on linen.
