George Platt Lynes Original B&W Photograph, Ruth Elizabeth Ford, Framed



This silver gelatin photograph was printed in 1999 from the original negative by the Robert Miller Gallery in New York City with permission from the estate of the artist. George Platt Lynes (1907-1955) was a legendary fashion photographer who shot celebrities and fashion for Vogue magazine. His work is highly sought after and rare (he burned most of his photos and negatives before his death) and collected by museums worldwide including the Metropolitan Museum of art in New York City. This is an 8 x 10 photograph of Ruth Elizabeth Ford taken on May 13, 1937. Newly framed and matted in a beautiful black and silver mélange frame.
