Offered is a signed and numbered high gloss color limited edition photograph from the spring of 2001 by Evelyn H. Lauder entitled, "Near the Boathouse, Central Park, NY Spring 2001, 4/10" in vivid hues of pink, blue and green. The photo depicts tulips. This beautiful photograph almost looks like a painting due to the coloration and modern point of view. Personally, for me, this photograph speaks to how brief and precious life can be and, as such, we should all stop and make time to smell the roses! (In this case, the tulips!) This piece would make a lovely poignant gift, especially to a New Yorker! Evelyn Lauder (1936-2011) is the daughter-in-law of Estee Lauder, Founder or Estee Lauder Cosmetics and aunt of Aerin Lauder Lauder, heir apparent to Estee Lauder cosmetics and furniture designer, worked in the family cosmetic business. Evelyn Lauder is credited as one of the co-founders of the "pink" ribbon breast cancer awareness movement and raised millions of dollars for breast cancer research. This photos came from the estate of Vic and Rena Rowan Damone of Palm Beach, FL. Vic Damone was a notable singer, songwriter, actor, and philanthropist. Rena Rowan Damone was a well known clothing designer and one of the founding members of the clothing company, Jones of New York. The piece is unframed, however, it can be framed for a small up-charge.
