Austrian Wien Cobalt Hand Painted Plaque Entitled The Winter

About the Item

This is a beautifully painted cobalt Austrian porcelain plaque entitled "Der Winter" (The Winter) on the back. The painting on this plaque is of two beautiful women who are scantily clad in white flowing dresses during the winter. On the top of the hill is another beautiful lady in a deep winter sleep. This painting is surrounded by raised gilded jewels to frame it. There is a raised gilded arabesque decoration on all four sides of this exquisite painting. The edge of the plaque has raised gilded jewels all around it with a gold border. It is 12.5 inches in diameter. Price of Austrian plaque-$1500.00.
