19th Century French Young Beauty Portrait Oil Painting in Carved Gilt Frame
About the Item
This beautiful antique painting was created in France, circa 1810. Set in the original carved gilt frame, the artwork depicts a young woman knitting with a small cat beside her. In the manner of Jean Baptiste Greuze (see: "Indolence, la paresseuse italienne", which Greuze painted in 1756), this painting is well executed with rich colors. Excellent condition.
