"Striding Nude," Bold Art Deco Drawing with Watercolor by Lovet-Lorski

US$3,500

About

Quintessentially Art Deco, with long, lean lines and a highly stylized nude, this drawing was executed by Boris Lovet-Lorski in Paris, before he settled in America at the age of 26. Born in Lithuania and educated in Russia, the artist created sculptures, drawings and lithographs featuring tall, hyper-slender female and male figures. This drawing in crayon and watercolor in a lovely shade of blue, offers an especially iconic depiction of the stylized Art Deco nude, high-stepping and arch. (Dimensions include matte and frame; visible area of drawing is 15" high by 7.75" wide.)
