Thomas Sergent Palissy Ware Majolica Trompe L'oeil lobster plaque, Paris, circa 1875.
Thomas-Victor Sergent, (French, 1830-1890.) Sergent was an important member of the School of Paris; he established his studio and shop, located at 106 avenue d'Orleans in Petit Montrouge, south of Paris, in circa 1870 and flourished there until, circa 1885. (See footnote).
