KPM Porcelain Plaque by Franz Till

About the Item

KPM or Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur, (Royal Porcelain Factory) was one of the most influential porcelain factories to emerge in 18th-century Germany. This handsome moustached gentleman is S.J. Thurbro. The finely hand-painted KPM portrait on a porcelain plaque was done in 1896 and signed by the noted artist, Fr. Till, Dresden. Done in an oval in the original wooden frame, the details in this painting are incredible. The dimensions include the two inch frame. The reverse bears the impressed factory marks KPM with sceptre mark. The oval measures: 9.75 x 7.5 not including frame. See other measurements below.
