Modern Buffet Table with Glass Top and Scalloped Edge
About the Item
Handmade in Norwalk, Connecticut USA, this buffet features a solid walnut frame, painted brass, scalloped doors and a smoked glass top.
The 1/4" glass top is removable and beneath it is a subtle butterfly design. We can also remove the butterfly if not desired. The glass is beveled and polished on both edges, and sculpted along with scalloped table design.
The metal border beneath the glass is solid brass with a matte brass paint finish for a uniquely deep, quieted metal look. It's sculpted in the scalloped design as well.
The curved door faces are brass sheet with the same matte brass paint finish as the border.
The walnut columns double as door pulls for doors one and four. Doors two and three open with the semicircle solid brass tabs that sit above the walnut columns. There's a certain charm to the piece having many walnut columns that are purely structural/aesthetic and two of them that operate the doors.
The four cabinet doors open to two large spaces each with one shelf so that large serving platters can fit easily. The shelves are stained dark and are finished with a grainy wood edge for added luxe.
The piece is very heavy and requires two to three strong adults to lift.

The minimum depth on the glass top is 18", as measured from the crest of each scallop to the back.
