Sycamore BTRFL Aside Stool 45 by Cedric Breisacher

US$1,897

About

Sycamore BTRFL aside stool by Cedric Breisacher Dimensions: D 38 x H 45 cm Materials: Sycamore wood, moon white finish Stool or occasional table, the BTRFL is a piece in the line minimal. In a way, it takes up the assemblies of the farmer's stool in order to offer a contemporary vision of it. The landing stool is a useful piece. Hand carved, the feet are turned. Iconic and historical form, it becomes the support for textural experimentation. Designer-sculptor, Cedric Breisacher has an atypical path. Self-taught man, he followed during five years an Industrial class where he has been graduated with mention and a jury prize. He works around the problematic of local manufacturing and try to conceive objects in local distribution. After an internship with Valentin Loellmann for four months, he decided to open his own workshop where he is following his own vision of sculpting contemporary design. Cedric works by carving. Inspired by nature and trip in Britany, he tryes to get the life out of its environment in order to transcribe water fluidity or leaf shapes into furniture.

About the Maker

Galerie Philia Furniture

Galerie Philia is a recognized contemporary design and modern fine arts gallery representing world wide known designers and artists. The Galerie Philia exhibits a collection resulting from a rhizomatic research transcending formal, stylistic, national or historical barriers. The selected art works emanates from different cultures and periods, are incarnated in various and multiform mediums, and evoke multiple and changing interior worlds. The only criterion unifying this composite plurality is their esthetical qualities and the sense they convey. The Galerie Philia attempts in this way to build bridges between different artistic continents in order to enlighten art works endowed with a marked artistic depth.
