Vintage White Laminate Custom Parsons Style Rectangle Dining Table
By (after) Jean Michel Frank
Located in Topeka, KS
Stunning vintage white laminate custom made Parson’s style rectangle dining table. Gorgeous condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. The table has small flaws aka tiny chips on two of their corners that we have repaired. And it has small hairline cracks in the laminate on the sides of each leg where they meet the top. These small imperfections do not detract from the beauty or stability. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, Late 20th Century. WOW! Parson’s tables are SO attractive!! And we have a striking custom-made white laminate dining Parson’s style tables to offer to you! Such a timeless, classic design that dates to 1930 when French designer Jean-Michael Frank decided he was going to design a table that was simple enough that it could fit into any home regardless of style preference. Contemporary, Art Deco, Bauhaus, Hollywood Regency, Industrial, traditional, mid-century modern, or modern, Parson’s style tables just work! They almost take on whatever style you put them with. And talk about durability! It is comprised of all white laminate so when the grandkids are over you won’t have to worry, and you don’t have to sacrifice style for stamina! What a plus! AND, it can beautifully host any type of dining chairs you place around them. This table just has endless appeal. The original Parson’s table was designed in New York City at the Parson’s School of Design by French designer Jean-Michael Frank in the 1930’s. There is an article that states, "Frank challenged students to design a table so basic that it would retain its integrity whether sheathed in gold leaf, mica, parchment, split straw or painted burlap, or even left robustly unvarnished. What grew out of Frank's sketches and the students' participation was initially called the T-square table. Parsons tables are often intended for use as modern or contemporary furniture, and their striking design has made them popular as coffee tables, dining tables, side tables, and occasional tables. Durability, Versatility, and it looks Dynamic!! What are you waiting for?? Make this white Parson’s dining table...

Jim Rose - Coffee Table, Steel Furniture, Hot Rolled and Repurposed Steel
By Jim Rose
Located in Chicago, IL
This coffee table is made with hot rolled steel and repurposed steel tube legs. The legs were previously painted however the artist sandblasts them and maintains a majority of the paint to add to the industrial aesthetic of the piece. This highly versatile table will add interest and functionality to any room. Jim Rose Coffee Table hot roll and found painted steel 18h x 34w x 60d in 45.72h x 86.36w x 152.40d cm JR0257 Jim Rose b. 1966, d. 2023 Bio: Born in Indiana, Jim Rose lived in Europe until he returned to the United States to attend college. After one year at Bard College, Jim transferred to the School of the Art Institute in Chicago (SAIC) where he graduated in 1988 with a BFA. His skillful interpretation of the Shaker design is a result of intense research and field study of Shaker furniture, architecture, culture and history. After over two decades of dedicated work, he has mastered the minimalism of the Shaker technique and created his own unique visual vernacular. The quilts of Gee's Bend have become a monumental influence taking this artist's work to new levels of unique interpretation and artistry. His selection of aged steel results in a patina directly related to that of aged wood while his colored strips beautifully mimic worn cloth. Each piece of furniture is masterfully made and intended for daily use. Jim Rose’s steel furniture is featured every year at SOFA Chicago for the past 25 years. Large Florence Knoll Boat Shaped Conference Table in Walnut with Metal Frame
By Florence Knoll, Knoll
Located in Waalwijk, NL
Florence Knoll for Florence Knoll International, large dining table, walnut, metal, United States, 1963. Large dining or conference table with boat shaped top in walnut. The table has six cylindrical metal legs. The top of this table shows the beautiful grain of the luxurious walnut. Nicely contrast of the natural and elegant top with modern and clean base. Due to its tapered shape, everyone at the table will be able to look each other in the eye. A perfect table for any dinner or meeting. Florence Knoll (1917) was trained as an architect and had a sense of style from a very young age. During her school time at Cranbrook, Eliel Saarinen (then the headmaster) and his family included her in their family. In 1936 she met Alvar Aalto and was trained by Marcel Breuer, Walter Gropius and (as if the long list of eminent designers is not long enough) Mies van der Rohe. This meant that although she was barely out of her teens, she was educated by the best of the European modernists. When she arrived in New York she worked on interior projects (being the only female) which is how she came to know Hans Knoll. When Florence joined Knoll, the planning unit started. Florence also made sure that the designs where more 'American Modernist' instead of Scandinavian, When Hans Knoll died she...
