Professionally restored Gilbert Rohde for Herman Miller stacking tables in Burl Acacia. Rare set of 3 stacking tables from the Paldao Group for Herman Miller designed by Gilbert Rohde model number 4168 in 1940 catalog. Reference: American Art Deco Furniture by Ric Emmett page 213 Dimension large table length 26 width 16 height 20 , Middle table length 21 width 14 height 18.75, and the small table length 17 width 12.75 height 17.25 American [1894 - 1944] Gilbert Rohde was one of the pioneers of American Modern design. Starting in the late 1920's, Rohde designed furniture for clients and his own furniture retailed by others. In 1930 he designed a line of furniture for Heywood Wakefield and beginning in 1930 until 1944 he designed for Herman Miller Company, using a variety of new materials and techniques. While Rohde designed for several other furniture manufacturers his work for Herman Miller remains his best work and some of the best work of the period.
