Finn Juhl - BO69 Nyhavn Desk / Table and detachable flip-down leaf in teak. 1st Edition, 1945 by ILLUMS BOLIGHUS KØBENHAVN (labelled underneath) When Finn Juhl established his first studio at the exclusive address of 33 Nyhavn in central Copenhagen in 1945, he designed this minimalistic desk with burnished steel legs and wooden toes, which came to shape his furniture design during the 1950s. Measures: 70cm x 224cm x 85cm. fully extended, retailer’s brass plaque underneath - when the fli-down leaf is put to the side, the table is 170cm (66.92 in.) wide. This table comes from a private collection in Hamburg, Germany - extremely rare in complete original condition with the 1st series label - a wonderful icon of danish design!
