Antique Classical American Philadelphia Desk in Mahogany with Double Pedestal

About the Item

A very handsome and functional classical American bureau desk in dark Cuban mahogany, likely from Philadelphia. Offers three drawers along the apron, one longer center drawer flanked by a drawer on each side, all with convex fronts and original brass pulls. Table rests on two pedestals with tapering round columns on beveled base that end with carved acanthus and lions paw feet, and an adjoining turned stretcher. The tone of the mahogany is a dark coffee color. American, circa 1865. Restored in our workshop with a French-polish finish. Measures: 72" long x 29 1/2" wide x 30" high.
