Mixed Wood and Acrylic Paint Table by Artist Ben Darby
About the Item
Artful table designed and built by artist Ben Darby. The table is made of multiple types of hard wood joined (solid core) to create a mosaic. Darby puts his artist stamp by integrating acrylic paint in various colors on the tabletop. The bottom of the table is also worth noting, due to its uneven layering of the wood, similar to a cityscape. The height of the table is unconventional, yet it can serve as a console, coffee table, side table, or entry table.
Ben Darby was raised in San Diego, California and Seattle, Washington, studied biology and art, and received a BFA in Fine Art and Painting at Cornish College of the Arts. Now with a studio in San Diego, his works are gaining national recognition with private collectors. His works can also be seen in public installations at San Diego International Airport and San Diego State University.
