Zhipeng Tan’s ‘Treasures' coffee table embodies and further extends the concept of his most iconic collection, TanTan Collection. “This year, we have been forced to isolate yourself from one another to maintain safety. Although staying home has become our default lifestyle, it ironically reminds us of holidays and leisure time that we used to take granted of,’ says Zhipeng. This year, he further explores his imaginary leisure time that we completely lost due to COVID-19, and captured it in the unique and playful little human forms, TanTan. The Treasures Coffee Table illustrates TanTan scuba diving and finding treasures in the ocean. The rich luster and versatility of brass complement the spirited design, f?inding a harmonious fusion of sculpture and furniture, provocative objects of both beauty and utility.
