Incredible Spanish Revival style rectangular coffee table attributed to Artes De Mexico Internacionales, SA. It is in wonderful vintage condition with hand hammered metal extra large nail heads, turned legs, and lots of age patina with its original tag, circa 1970s. Note: We have the matching end table listed as well. Just go to our storefront here to find it. This table is a fabulous find! In our treasure hunting we happened upon a whole lobby full of magnificent Spanish Revival furnishings and this was one of the pieces along with its matching end table. Although this coffee table does not have its tag, the matching end table does, and you can find it listed here as well. We do believe this piece to be signed by the artist, see photos. This coffee table is comprised of a thick solid wood rectangular top with an ogee edge and sixteen turned legs or columns, three at each corner and two in the middle of each side. These legs are supported by a broad wood rail which is itself supported by sixteen ball feet. The rail gives the impression it is intersecting the full leg. This is a wonderful example of Mexican artisan made furniture. It will look completely at home in your Spanish hacienda or Southwestern style home but will look equally fabulous in a rustic mountain home or even an industrial loft. Artes de Mexico Internacionales, SA imported handmade pieces from Mexico, some even signed by their makers, exclusively for sale to the trade. Which means they sold only to architects and interior designers and not to the general public making the pieces harder to find and more exclusive. So, although they have beautiful pieces as well, do not confuse it with Arte de Mexico which is a Los Angeles based shop selling production pieces to the public. This one-of-a-kind piece should be yours.
