    This is a large superb satinwood Sheraton Revival coffee table, mid-20th century in date. The square table top features painted decoration in the manner of Angelica Kauffman, featuring trophies and musical instruments with a foliage and foliate border. It is raised on four panelled pedestal tapings legs. There is no mistaking the unique quality and elaborate design, which is certain to make it a talking point in your home and a fine embellishment to your reception room. Condition: In excellent condition. As a vintage antique item, the piece show signs of use commensurate with age, these minor condition issues are mentioned for accuracy and, as seen in the accompanying photographs, the table displays beautifully. The lustrous, fine-grained, usually figured wood is used for furniture, cabinetwork, veneers, and backs of brushes. West Indian satinwood, sometimes called yellow wood, is considered superior.
