Hello, This exceptional Biedermeier walnut armoire was made in Vienna circa 1820-25. Viennese Biedermeier is distinguished by their sophisticated proportions, rare and refined design and excellent craftsmanship and continue to have a great influence on modern design. The refined details of this gorgeous piece are highlighted by beautifully shaped two ebonized Doric columns and gold leaf capitals and bases. This large, beautiful armoire has a lovely highly figured walnut book-matched veneer accentuated by a light amber tone and 200 years old patina. This high quality Viennese Biedermeier piece is very rare and difficult to find. The armoire will be a great complement to any elegant interior. It does not matter whether it is a classic or modern interior because Biedermeier is simply timeless. All brass hardware and locks are original. The piece is in very good condition.
