Neoclassical Federal Pedestal Sideboard in Mahogany, circa 1815

About the Item

A very long and elegant American Federal, pedestal sideboard in mahogany with mahogany inlaid bandings along the borders. Inspired by the classical architecture of ancient Greece and Rome it has a gadrooned sarcophagus design on the doors and on the center backsplash, and a pediment top above each of the candelabra stands. There are five silverware & candle drawers spanning the length along the apron, with four interior drawers on one pedestal and a cellarette drawer lined in zinc with dividers to store twelve bottles. American, circa 1815. Restored in our workshop and French-polished. Measures: 102" long x 26 1/2" deep x 51" high to top of backsplash; 38" from floor to serving surface; 42" to top of pedestals.    Note: You should always request a shipping quote.
