English Chippendale Mahogany Slant Front Desk
English Chippendale slant front desk in solid mahogany. The piece dates from circa 1750 and is in original condition. The interior of the desk has small drawers, pigeon holes and a central niche door flanked by small fluted columns. Provenance documents attest this desk to be from the estate of English painter Augustus John (1878-1961), member of the Royal Academy. In great original condition with age-appropriate wear.
